A scarce original example of an early political party 'Distinguised Service Medal' award from 'The Association of Conservatives Clubs'; Crowned gilt brass circlet bearing 'For King And Country' blue enamel horseshoe title surround, central oval depicting a silhouette of a seated 'Britannia' flanked by the enamel patriotic 'Royal Standard', 'Union Flag and Spray' with initials 'A.C.C.' below. The reverse impressed with recipient details 'A.E.HEWSON 1927'. Very good condition, complete with original blue silk ribbon, suspension bar with pin fittings, five additional five years bars one with enamel loss, gilt finish remain bright, no damage to the enamel.

The Association of Conservative Clubs was formed in 1894 and its objects was to assist and encourage the formation of Clubs and to support the principles and aims of The Conservative Party.
