British Union of Fascists 1939 Earls Court Rally BUF stewards tin button badge

A very rare original badge worn by a member of the British Union of Fascists acting as a Steward at the Earls Court Rally London July 16th1939 historical event, in the form of a brown celluloid tin button badge bearing black 'Flash in Circle' inscribed 'STEWARD'. Very good condition, complete with original pin fitting, colour remain bright, minor pimple flaw to flash.
Diameter 32mm.

The British Union of Fascists 1939 Earls Court Rally, London, was said at the time to be the largest indoor political meeting ever held in the world. The hall was divided into six sections each area was allotted a colour red, white, blue, green, brown and yellow, with each of the 500 appointed stewards stationed in each section wearing a corresponding coloured badge.
