A scarce original turn of the century full sized presentation silver medal from the 'The Bristol Tramways and Carriage Company Limited'; the obverse depicts 'Saint George and the Dragon' the reverse inscribed within a laurel wreath 'PRESENTED TO DVR.W.S.BELL. 'FOR LOYALTY'. Very good condition, complete with original blue and white silk ribbon, suspension pin bar and contained in its original red leatherette case with gold printed details to the inside lid inscribed 'BY ROYAL WARRANT' 'Bristol Goldsmiths Alliance 30 College Green' this now with age wear.

William Samuel Bell was born in 1851 and his occupation was a Tram Bus Driver. He had a wife, two sons and three daughters and in 1901 he lived at 'Cassell Road, Staple Hill, Mangotsfield Keynsham'.
