A scarce original circa pre war 'South Devon Holiday Camp gilt and enamel badge' depicting an embossed scene of wooden chalets and a bathing pool under a rainbow of sunrays; the reverse impressed with maker's details 'Butlers B'Ham'. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, no damage to the enamel.
Height 23mm.

South Devon Holiday Camp was an early pre-war camping site that was transformed into a POW camp during the second world war. It was bought by Pontins in circa 1947.
