A very rare original late Victorian 'Gatwick Racecourse ladies gilt and enamel badge' believed to be for the year 1894 in the form of a large 'Star of David' the top point displaced by a stylised crown, the centre with a blue enamel silvered horseshoe; the reverse impressed with maker's details 'R.T.Bowman 70 Goswell Rd London' and official very low issue number '20'. Very good condition, complete with original pin fitting, some minor wear to gilt star points and central silver plating.
