GPO Telecommunications Buzby cartoon bird advertising badge

A scarce original circa 1976 to late 1980's 'General Post Office Telecommunications Buzby cartoon bird promotional badge'; large gilt and enamel example featuring the early yellow coloured (later orange) cartoon bird set between three early style telephone receivers. Very good condition, complete with original pin fitting, no damage to the enamel.
Diameter 33mm.

The Buzby cartoon bird was launched in 1976 by the Post Office Telecommunications captions TV commercials voice of Bernard Cribbins. Animated by Charles Jenkins of Trickilm Studios, London and lasted well into the 1980's.
