A very scarce official issue wartime blue plastic 'Fuel Watcher badge' bearing the words 'Heat Light Power', the reverse with 'Pat. App. For' and maker's details 'F&G' (Fraser & Glass Limited London). Very good condition, retaining original pin fittings, very minor colour fading to the front and minor flaw top left.
Height 24mm.

The Ministry of Fuel and Power was created in June 1942 to control fuel consumption firstly to householders and later in industry, the official economy plastic badges were issued to the appointed Fuel Watchers through their Regional Coal Office.
