Army Dental Hygienist RADC and QARANC qualification badge WODC 1955

A good ORIGINAL circa 1955 period 'Army Dental Hygienist qualification pin badge'; large oxidized pewter plated example, bearing embossed 'Royal Crest' superimposed on crossed swords within laurel wreath surround. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings.
Height 41mm.

War Office Dress Committee WODC Aug 1955. Royal Army Dental Corps (including qualified QARANC attached to RADC units for dental duties) may wear this silver plated badge on the left side of the working overall. The brooch may be retained by the recipient on leaving the service.
