A rare original pre-war 'Robertson's Sussex County cricketer promotional badge', wearing yellow waistcoat, displaying the advertising slogan 'Golden Shred' and resting on an 'Sussex' scroll, the reverse impressed in relief with maker's details 'H.W.Miller Ltd B'Ham.18'. Excellent condition, complete with original coiled pin fittings, no stress marks or damage to the enamel and still retaining its original display card inscribed 'Eat & Enjoy Golden Shred Marmalade' 'MASCOT' Golden Shred Works Bristol - London -Paisley -Manchester Registered. Design', now with age discolouration, foxing with pin holes split into one.
