A scarce original First World War period circular gilt badge with central embossed Crown within blue enamel title surround 'On Government Work 1915', the reverse impressed with maker's details 'J.A.Restall Birmingham'. Very good condition, complete with original buttonhole fitting, no damage to the enamel, gilt finish remains bright.
