WW2 Church Army Fellowship of War Workers home front badge

A scarce original late Second World War period 'Church Army economy issue badge' shield shaped chromium plated example, bearing cross to centre, on red handpainted enamel ground, within 'Fellowship of War Workers' plain title surround. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings.
Height 27mm.

The Church Army during the second world war provided for the forces over 300 mobile canteens, as well as libraries and entertainment coaches, this badge was worn by members on their uniforms, overalls and civilian clothes by voluntary helpers.
