Guy's Hospital Nurses League badge by Alfred Clark London

A good original circa pre 1916 'Guys Hospital Nurses League' bronze and enamel badge, bearing the hospital coat of arms, three crowned leopard's heads and chevron decorated with fleur-de-lis, 'G.H.N.L.' title and Latin motto 'Dare Quam Accipere' (Better to give than receive); the reverse impressed with early maker's details 'CLARK 33 NEW BOND St. LONDON. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, enamel with one small flaw above the lower leopard's head. An excellent example.

'Alfred Clark London Silver Makers', had several premises in the Mayfair area and moved to 33 New Bond Street in 1903 where he remained until 1916.
