A scarce original circa 1948 cold war period 'New Zealand Registered Nurse qualification brass badge'; suspended from a blue enamel 'N Z R N' bar, a five pointed star with red trim, the central blue enamel ground bearing Red Cross; the reverse named to the recipient '15875 J.Shepherd 1948' and with makers details 'Mayer & Kean Wellington'. Good condition, complete with original pin fittings, enamel intact but with three points of the star with bruising, suspension bar with graze.
