WW1 Preston Borough Special Constable police badge

A scarce original First World War period 'Borough of Preston Special Constable gilt brass badge'; blue enamel title circlet, ornate shield bearing Paschal Lamb to seeded centre; the reverse impressed with maker's details 'Hiatt B'Ham'. Very good condition, complete with original buttonhole fitting, no obvious damage to the enamel, however with strong glass hairlines do appear to shield, gilt finish remains bright.
