Weymann's Motor Bodies (1925) Ltd Auxiliary Fire badge

A very scarce original circa 1940's period 'Weymann's Motor Bodies (1925) Ltd badge'; large chromium plated white enamel title circlet, 'PAD' letters on black enamel ground to centre, additional scroll below 'AUX FIRE'; the reverse impressed with maker's details 'Thomas Fattorini Ltd Regent St. Birmingham'. Good condition, complete with original buttonhole fittings, no damage to the enamel, stress marks to lower scroll.
Height 32mm.

'Weymann's Motor Bodies Ltd' were automobile car and Bus body makers. During the Second World War they made military vehicle bodies for tractors, radio vans, armoured vehicles and tank transporters.
