2nd Polish Corps regimental silver plated numbered breast badge

A scarce original circa Second World War period '2nd Polish Corps numbered badge'; silver plate on copper example, displaying an 8th Army Shield resting in a horseshoe title scroll 'Poliski 2 Korpus', surmounted by a Mermaid from the 'Coat of Arms of the City of Warsaw Poland' within laurel leaf uprights; the reverse impressed with official issue number '13455'. Good condition, complete with original screw fitting and unmarked smooth turning rounded nut, minor wear to silver plating.

The 2nd Polish Corps was designed by 'Z. Haar and L.Harr.', made by F.M.Lorioli. Milano, Roma. and Societe Italiana Medaglia, Roma.
