WW2 Free French Forces FRANCE LIBRE full size number 407 badge

A scarce ORIGINAL Second World War period British made 'Free French Forces Francaise Libres badge' large full size gilt wing, inlaid with patriotic coloured enamels from the French flag, bearing an upright sword through the centre and inscribed 'FRANCE LIBRE'; the reverse impressed with offical LOW issue number '407' and 'Regd No 838334' a registered, design and patent date of 1941. Good condition, complete with original substantial pin fittings, some enamel loss to right wing and lower part of the sword, with minor hairline cracks and bruising
