An interesting piece of social history in the form of a scarce original wartime period Women's Voluntary Service felt cloth uniform badge' maroon silk embroidered Crowned 'W.V.S Civil Defence' on grey felt cloth backing, together with Sussex County stripe and four year service chevron with an extra two years added on, together with a Ministry of Supply box addressed to:
'Mr.G.A.GATES, Borough Surveyor, TOWN OFFICES, ARUNDEL.'
