Sheffield Special Police badge

A scarce original pre 1928 period 'Sheffield Special Police Constabulary police badge'; gilt brass blue enamel title surround, the centre displaying an embossed Sheffield Coat of Arms with motto 'Deo Adjuvante Labor Proficit' (With God's help our labour is successful); the reverse impressed with maker's details 'Fattorini & Sons Bradford' a format used between circa 1908 and 1928. Very good condition, complete with original early style buttonhole fitting, no damage to the enamel.
