WW2 National Union of Railwaymen NUR 1940 recruitment button badge

A scarce original wartime period 'National Union of Railwaymen recruitment celluloid tin button badge' red, green and white example with hand waving a flag 'N.U.R' initials and dated 1940. Good condition, complete with original pin fitting, service wear and surface scratches.
Diameter approx 26mm.

Some button badges were issued from 1937 to 1940 as a means of identifying members on a given day. Anyone not wearing one was presumed not a member and approached to join.
