A rare original First World War period 'Bradford War Hospital Supply Depot war service badge'; gilt brass white enamel title circlet, the centre bearing a Red Cross in relief, mounted with the Coat of Arms of Bradford City on gilt seeded ground, the reverse impressed with maker's details 'Fattorini and Sons Bradford'. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, no damage to the enamel, gilt finish remains bright.

The 'Bradford War Hospital Supply Depot' was opened on Leeds Road. It was affiliated with the Central Depot Surgical Branch of 'Queen Mary's Needlework Guild'. In May 1916 the Bradford Depot recieved a Royal Certificate from Queen Mary for special war work they had undertaken, an unique honour given to only a few depots.
