WW1 On war service Farrier badge for supplying horseshoes to British Army

A very rare original First World War period 'On War Service badge' for a Farrrier assigned to supply a quota of horseshoes for the British Army whilst carrying out his normal blacksmith horse shoeing skills. Large Crowned embossed bronze horseshoe inscribed 'ON WAR SERVICE' to recessed centre, the reverse impressed with maker's details 'Fattorini & Sons Bradford'. Very good condition, complete with original buttonhole lapel fitting.
