A scarce original wartime period 'Salute The Soldier 1944 celluloid tin button badge' sold to raise funds during the Second World War, depicting a Tommy Soldier in full kit, ready for action. Very good condition, complete with original pin fitting, colours remains bright, an excellent example.
Diameter 25mm.

The Salute The Soldier logo was designed by the artist Abram Games (1914-96) the great designer of the Festival of Britain logo and numerous well known war and travel posters etc.
