A scarce original circa 1950's 'I flew by Silver City' celluloid tin button promotional badge' displaying an aeroplane. Very good condition, complete with original Very good condition, complete with original pin fitting, minor foxing and rust marks, colour remains bright, photograph with some light reflection to the top.
Diameter 32mm.

'Silver City Airways' was founded in 1946 by Air Cdre Griffith Powell. The airline was named after the mining town of Broken Hill in Australia, which was known as the 'Silver City'. It was purchased by 'British United Airways' in 1962.
