Boys Brigade wayfarers proficiency badge & advanced certificate

A good original circa 1940's 'Boys Brigade Wayfarers proficiency' die-cast nickel badge, shield shaped with hatched B's, depicting 'Willie the Wayfarer' in short trousers, the milestone has grown larger and more distinct; this example with additional red felt cloth backing to signify that an 'Advanced Certificate' having been awarded. Very good condition, complete with original vertical tube joint pin fitting and hooked catch, no sign of any moth to the felt, an excellent example.

The red felt cloth 'Advanced Certificate Award' was introduced in 1933.
