A rare original circa pre1920 period 'General Post Office postman's cap badge'; large die-stamped gilt brass crowned laurel oval incorporating the initials 'GPO', the voided central band with an applied white metal postmans identification number '6' and area code 'T'. Good condition, complete with two prong fittings to reverse, service wear.
