Butlins holiday camp numbered staff badge

A scarce original early period 'Butlin's holiday camp staff badge'; gilt brass oval inlaid with dark blue enamel, inscribed 'STAFF Butlin's ' with superimposed 'W' possibly for waitress service; the reverse impressed with maker's details 'J.R.Gaunt London' and impressed with official issue number '1848'. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings and old replacement pin, no damage to the enamel, gilt remains bright.
