WW1 Newark War Emergency Special Constable police badge

A rare original First World War period 'Newark War Emergency Special Constable lapel badge'; large circular gilt brass example with blue enamel title surround, embossed enamelled 'Arms of Newark' Nottinghamshire to centre with '1914-15-16' below; the reverse impressed with maker's details 'J.R.Gaunt & Son London'. Very good condition, complete with original buttonhole fitting, no damage to the enamel, gilt toned, minor surface scratches.
