WW1 City of London Volunteer Corps VTC badge

A scarce original First World War period 'Volunteer Training Corps' badge; large gilt oval bearing blue enamel title surround 'City of London Volunteer Corps' the centre with embossed 'City of London Coat of Arms' with 'Domine Dirige Nos' (O Lord Direct us) scroll, the flag picked out in red and white enamel, the reverse with maker's details 'Collins London'. Very good condition, complete with original buttonhole fitting, no damage to the enamel, gilt finish remains bright.
