WW1 Edward Prince of Wales British & Foreign Sailors Appeal tin badge

A scarce original circa 1920's 'British & Foreign Sailors Society's Appeal' celluloid tin button badge, portraying a black and white portrait of the young Prince of Wales wearing a Royal Navy cap with caption below 'I do hope that the appeal will meet with a hearty response'. Very good condition, complete with original pin fitting, minimal foxing, rust to reverse, minor scratches to front.
Diameter 33mm.

In 1925 the 'British and Foreign Sailors Society' name was changed to become 'The British Sailors' Society'.
