A scarce original circa 1926 midwifery badge in the form of a Cross-Pattee, the arms bearing an embossed 'Mercy - Truth - Love - Pity'; the reverse impressed with Birmingham silver hallmarks for 1926, maker's details 'J.F' (James Fenton & Co) and inscribed 'ASSOCn TRAINING SUPPLY MIDWIVES'. Excellent mint condition, complete with original pin fittings.
