New Forest hunt button circa 1896

A scarce original circa 1896 Victorian period full sized 'New Forest Hunt gilt coat flat button; gilded brass circular rope edged example depicting a Hampshire dog gauge on lined ground within crowned scrolls 'New Forest', the reverse impressed with maker's details 'Pitt & Co 31 Maddox St''. Good condition, complete with original shank, traces of gilt on reverse only, front worn back to brass.
Diameter approx 23mm.
