WW1 Underground Railway War Service numbered badge

A rare original First World War period circa 1914 gilt and enamel circular badge, Underground Railway blue enamel title surround, Crowned 'Railway Service' to the centre on white enamel ground, the reverse with maker's details 'J.W.Wylie & Co', impressed with low official issue number '2005'. Very good condition, complete with original buttonhole fitting, no stress marks or damage to the enamel, gilt finish remains bright.
