Nightingale School of Nursing St Thomas Hospital badge

A rare original wartime period 'Florence Nightingale School of Nursing silver nurses badge', the reverse embossed with 'Nightingale School St Thomas Hospital' and inscribed to the recipient 'Patricia M Forbes Irving 1945'. Excellent condition, complete with original pin fitting, old replacement hook and an additional ring to affix a safety chain, remarkably without any enamel damage or restoration, very rare to find in this condition.
Height 40mm.

Attributed to 'Patricia Margaret Forbes Irving' who was registered on the 24 -11- 44 after training at St Thomas's Hospital London between 1941 to 1944.
