Smiths Dock Company Ltd welfare member badge

A scarce original First World War period large circular gilded brass badge depicting 'Smith's Dock Company Flag', white with blue cross 'S.D.Co.Ld.' between the arms, within title surround, the reverse impressed with official issue number '772'. Very good condition, complete with original buttonhole fitting, no damage to the enamel, gilt finish remains bright.
