National Federation of the Womens Institutes For Home & Country WI badge

A scarce original circa 1920's 'National Federation of the Women's Institutes badge', gilded brass oval, the fretted centre bearing the 'WI' monogram, flanked by a red enamel rose and Canadian maple leaf, with motto 'For Home and Country' inlaid in green enamel; the reverse impressed with maker's details 'Fattorini & Sons Bradford' (a marking used between 1908 and 1928). Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, enamel intact, but with a hairline at the end of Home.
