RMS Queen Mary Cunard White Star shipping line badge by Stratton Birmingham

A scarce original circa 1936 to 1949 period 'R.M.S.Queen Mary Shipping Line gilt and enamel souvenir pin brooch', the Cunard and White Star Line company enamelled flags mounted to the centre of a ship's wheel, the reverse impressed 'Stratton Birmingham'. Good condition, complete with original pin fittings, blue enamel loss to wheel from 5 o'clock to 6 o'clock position otherwise perfect, gilt finish remains bright

RMS Queen Mary with the outbreak of the Second World War was converted into a troopship and was used to transport allied soldiers.
