A very scarce original pre 1953 'Queen Alexandra's Royal Naval Nursing Service officer's hat badge', red embroidered laurel wreath surmounted by a King George VI Crown, Queen Alexandra cypher of crossed initials A, intertwined around a gold wire anchor within, the reverse with waxed black hessian lining and white painted stores' number. Very good condition, colours remain bright, an excellent example.
