Sixteenth Fifth Lancers OCA low numbered lapel badge

A scarce original early post 1922 period '16/5th Lancers old comrades association gilt and enamel lapel badge'. Exceptionally good condition, complete with original buttonhole fitting impressed with low issue number '15', gilt finish remains bright.
Diameter 25mm.

The 16th (The Queen's) Lancers merged with The '5th (Royal Irish) Lancers in 1922 to become the '16/5th Lancers'. The title was amended in 1954 to the '16th/5th The Queen's Royal Lancers'.
