A good original circa 1940's 'National Federation of Women's Institutes badge'; gilded brass oval shape example, the fretted centre bearing the "WI" monogram, flanked by a red enamel rose and Canadian maple leaf, with motto "For Home and Country" inlaid in green; the reverse impressed with maker's details 'Marples & Beasley Birmingham'. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, enamel intact.
