Firemans Trade Union FTU membership badge.

A scarce original pre-1930 'Fireman's Trade Union badge', gilded brass example, the centre with embossed fire helmet and axes on red enamel ground within blue enamel title surround "F.T.U"; the reverse with maker's details "C.Caville, Meyes Rd, Wood Green London.N". Good condition, complete with original buttonhole fitting, enamel with heavy service wear to title surround.

The 'Firemen's Trade Union' (FTU) was founded in 1918. In 1930 it was renamed the 'Fire Brigades Union' (FBU).
