Awarded to Sister Elizabeth Sarah Passingham. Comprising: 1914/5 Star "SISTER QAIMNSR", British War Medal, Victory Medal "SISTER". Complete with original watered silk ribbons.

Sister Elizabeth Sarah Passingham was born in 1884 Hammersmith. She trained as a nurse at the King Edward VII Hospital Windsor from 1910 to 1913 and at the outbreak of the war in November 1914 offered her services to the QAIMNSR. She received her call up on the 22nd December and reported to the Depot at Winchester. Appointed Sister, she volunteered for overseas service. She embarked for the Middle East and her records show during August to December served onboard a Hospital Ship off Gallipoli and warranted a special mention for her devoted service by her Commanding Officer Major R.N. Hunt of the RAMC. After service at Gallipoli she was transferred to No. 17 General Hospital Alexandria and after her second term of service she resigned from the QAIMNSR in January 1917 and is believed to have taken up home service duties with the Red Cross.
