RMS Mauretania Cunard Shipping Line ships wheel anchor badge

A rare original circa 1906 early period 'R.M.S.Mauretania gilt and enamel souvenir brooch', the Cunard Line Shipping Company red enamel flag mounted to the centre of a white ship's wheel, and in turn a blue enamel anchor. Good condition, retaining original pin fittings, white enamel loss left wheel and edge of left scroll, gilt remains bright. Price reflects.

During the First World War 'R.M.S.Mauretania' was converted to a troopship and a hospital ship. She was scrapped in 1935.
