WW2 Home Guard Mr Therm Gas Industry defence force badge

A scarce original wartime period 'Home Guard Mr Therm badge', circular gilded brass example depicting the gas industry's character logo in red enamel on white enamel ground; the reverse impressed with maker's details "H.W.Miller Ltd Branston St. B'Ham.18". Excellent condition, complete with original buttonhole fitting, enamel perfect, gilt finish remains bright.
Diameter 26mm.

'Mr Therm' was designed by the artist Eric Fraser in the 1930's for the British gas industries 'London Gas Light & Coke Company'.
