WW1 Irish War Hospital Supply Depot IWHSD volunteer worker badge

A scarce original First World War period 'Irish War Hospital Supply Depot badge', in the form of bronze suspension bar with embossed letters "I.W.H.S.D" green ribbon threaded through the bar on reverse and ending in a point to which a Crowned “VW” Volunteer Workers brass badge is pinned, the reverse with embossed maker’s details “J.R.Gaunt London” and impressed with official issue number “50309". Both bar and badge in very good condition and retaining original substantial pin fittings, ribbon very fragile, but remains intact.
