WW2 British Power Boat Company on national service badge

A scarce original Second World War period 'British Power Boat Company Ltd National Service silver plate and enamel badge', the reverse with maker's details "Fattorini & Sons Ltd Bradford Works Birmingham" and official impressed with low issue number "86". Good condition, retaining original pin fittings, enamel with large chip to strap, surface scratches and wear to plating, price reflects.
Diameter 25mm.

During the Second World War the 'British Power Boat Company' built large numbers of Motor Torpedo Boats, High Speed Motor Launches and Motor Gun Boats for the Royal Navy and Royal Air Force. The company closed in 1946.
