Jewish Lads Brigade pill box brass hat badge

A scarce original early pattern 'Jewish Lads Brigade badge' worn on the pill box hat; die-stamped brass example bearing fretted "JLB" monogram within a large oval title surround, complete with original two loop fittings and split pin. Very good condition.
Height 49mm.

The Jewish Lads' Brigade was founded in 1895 by Albert Edward Goldsmid, their motto being 'They go from Strength to Strength'. In 1974 they amalgamated with the Jewish Girls' Brigade to become the Jewish Lads' and Girls' Brigade (JLGB).
