Royal Air Force Chaplains collar and breast badge

A scarce original circa 1940's period 'Royal Air Force Chaplain's badge'; gilded brass wing mounted with a black Cross Paty bearing a gilt laurel wreath with "RAF" letters within; the reverse impressed with maker's details "J.R.Gaunt London" and an "S". Very good condition, retaining original pin fitting, old replacement hook, gilt finish with minor service wear.

Official Regulations states that the RAF Chaplain's badge is worn on the collar in service dress and mess dress and immediately above the centre of the right breast pocket of bush shirts.
