WW1 South Shields Gas Co.1915 Munition of War on war service badge

A scarce original First World War period official war munition worker's badge; gilded brass circular example inlaid with blue enamelling, the title surround "South Shields Gas Co 1915", the centre inscribed "Munition of War"; the reverse impressed with officially low issue number "209". Good condition, retaining original lapel fitting, enamel remains intact but with heavy service wear, gilt finish worn back to brass.
