A good original Second World War period celluloid matchbox cover, 'British Made' the front and back displaying a badge representation of the 'Auxiliary Fire Service' with 'A.F.S' below, the spine inscribed with full title; accompanying is an empty wooden matchbox inscribed 'Superior Paraffin Matches' "Trade Mark" 'Made in Belgium' and displaying a Tug Boat on the sea passing a floating bouy. Good condition, some minor foxing, colours remain bright, surface scratches.
